Egypt is making a draft to adopt new migration limits of 19 substances in toys that children may put into their mouths (including goods used near or in the mouth) or are designed for children under six years old. Existing criteria having been in place since 2013 are to be replaced if related departments approve the draft, which sets stricter migration limits regarding barium, cadmium and lead, compared to standards in the EU Toy Safety Directive.
