In the first five months of 2019, 758 hazardous chemical firms and 27 provincial chemical parks in Henan province eliminated their potential safety hazards as required by the provincial government, which has identified 546 754 potential safety hazards since the end of 2018, concentrated mainly in six fields like hazardous chemicals. More than 90% (517 666) of the hazards were eliminated. Further, related investigation will be continued, especially for those hazardous chemical firms that have suspended production.
