A top fuel cell vehicle (FCEV) hydrogen refueling station – the worldwide largest-sized – was completed in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park on June 5.

The newly-built station can not only supply hydrogen to SAIC MOTOR’s 20 demonstration FCEVs in the Park, but also provide commercial service to the public. It occupies 8 000 m2. Its daily hydrogen capacity is at about 2 tons and its capacity of commercial hydrogen refueling is at 35MPa and 70MPa. Besides, it has functions such as hydrogen refueling, torpedo car filling, as well as FCEV maintenance & repair and charging. One thing to be noted is that the hydrogen station uses hydrogen - byproduct from Shanghai Chemical Industry Park - as a way to promote the recycle of resources and Shanghai Government’s recycle economic development.
