Befar Group announced on May 10 that the hydrogen energy project invested by its holding subsidiary Shandong Binhua Hydrogen Energy Co., Ltd. has realised commercial operation of all links in the production chain and refined hydrogen was filled into the long tube trailer for the first time on May 8. The company will continue to adjust and optimize the equipment and gradually achieve production standards and output.

According to the announcement, the hydrogen energy project will pass the by-product hydrogen from the chlor-alkali plants through first-stage compression, and then purify and remove the impurities to reach the quality standard of the hydrogen fuel for the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. After further compression, it will be filled into the long-tube trailer and then delivered to the hydrogen refueling station to fill the fuel cell vehicle with clean fuel. The project is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase will achieve a hydrogen filling capacity of 1 000 Nm3/h, and the second phase will increase the hydrogen filling capacity by 12 000 Nm3/h.
