The Natural Resources and Planning Bureau of Puyang recently publicized Puyang New-type Chemical Industry Base Development Plan. Citizens can express their opinions during the publicity period.

The plan includes three stages – 2016-2020, 2020-2025 and 2026-2030. The focus of the first stage is the 10 million t/a refining & chemical project, supporting projects regarding one million t/a arene and one million t/a ethylene. 

While seeking more diversified raw materials to produce olefin, firms are to propel C2-C8 raw material deep processing and downstream processing of petrochemical raw materials in the second stage. In the third stage, high-value-added, low-polluted specialty chemicals and new green energy industries will be developed, by means of basic petrochemical raw materials like ethylene and propylene.
