On March 25, Wanxiang Innovative Energy Fusion City and Energy Storage Project, invested by Wanxiang Group was put into construction in Hangzhou. The project is divided into two parts. Part one with an investment of RMB68 billion will include the construction of 17 new UNIT Two-layer workshops and underground space, and will introduce fully automatic battery production lines, able to produce 80GWh/a of batteries after production is launched. The other part will have a total investment of RMB5.122 billion. It will utilize the ground space to set up a battery energy storage system, and carry out researches on multi-layer utilization and management of energy based blockchain technology.
