Mitsui Chemicals recently announced that it has decided to build a long glass fiber reinforced polypropylene (LGFPP) plant in Zhongshan city of Guangdong province. The new plant will have an annual production capacity of 3 500 tons and is expected to be completed in February 2020. The plant will become the third LGFPP production base of Mitsui Chemicals, and the first two are in Japan and the US, respectively. The new project will push up its LGFPP production capacity to 10.5 kt.
