The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the other six departments jointly issued Guidance Catalog on Green Industries (2019 Edition) to support industries vital to the green development of China.

Local governments are to propel green industries like energy conservation, environmental protection, clean production and clean energy via issuing supportive policies in aspects of investment, price, finance, tax, etc. They should consider both the Catalog and local situations during the process of making these policies.

The NDRC and related departments are to gradually make detailed catalogs or sub-catalogs according to actual needs. In addition, a Green Industry Expert Committee is to be established to provide professional advices concerning the implementation of the Catalog, formation of green industry standards, etc.
