On January 1, 2019 Soil Pollution Prevention and Control Law was implemented. Enterprises shall prevent soil from being polluted, firms causing soil pollution have to take efficient measures, and the responsibility of the government and related departments is to supervise, according to the law. Further, the law calls for establishing the system of classified management for agricultural land and the admittance management system for construction land.
