On December 19, 2018, Shandong provincial government held a meeting regarding production safety of hazardous chemicals, deciding to examine transportation of hazardous chemicals from the current date to March 2019. Main objects of the punishment are enterprises:

* transporting hazardous chemicals with vehicles without operational qualification
* changing safety equipment of vehicles illegally
* not installing or using vehicle satellite positioning devices
* not installing emergency shutoff devices for tank vehicles used to transport hazardous liquid goods

Shandong transport departments will efficiently supervise production of hazardous chemicals and prevent accidents, via enhancing department cooperation, safety training, dynamic monitoring on vehicles transporting hazardous chemicals, and supervision on storage, loading and unloading of hazardous chemicals in harbor districts, etc.
