Recently the Plan on Recycling NEV Power Storage Batteries in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region was issued to ensure the recycling can be conducted orderly in the region. The plan sets forth many targets by 2020:

* to establish a standard, efficient and sustainable recycling system in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region
* to establish a power storage battery traceability information system in the BTH region
* to realize industrialization in waste power storage battery dismantling technology and equipment, 
* to realize preliminary industrialization in cascade utilization of power storage batteries
* to establish two to four waste power storage battery dismantling demonstration lines and cascade utilization plants
* to realize safe, standard and efficient recycling of power storage batteries

In addition, the plan calls for establishing an industry alliance to help industry players establish the recycling system, upgrade the recycling technology and increase the resource utilization. The alliance will also propel demonstration projects (regarding cascade utilization, etc.), encourage the establishment of recycling outlets and research market-oriented pricing mechanisms of waste power storage batteries.
