Sinopec’s First Overseas Gas Station Commences Operation in Singapore

Sinopec Group’s first overseas gas station, Yishun Avenue 1 Station in Singapore, commences its operation, the group announced on December 18, 2018.

The station offers Sinopec’s SINO X Power, which is a brand of premium petrol characterized by environment-friendliness, robust driving force as well as better effect on engine maintenance and higher performance on car propulsion, according to Sinopec’s release.

Ranking as the second largest Corporation by number of gas stations, Sinopec boasts a fabulous network of stations. In 2017, stations affiliated to Sinopec were 30 633 in total (self-running affiliates represented 30 627 and concessionary locations amounted to 6).

In addition, Sinopec’s Singapore gas station will be operated and administered by Sinopec (Hong Kong) Petroleum Holding Company Limited. The Group’s second overseas gas station in Bukit Timah is under construction and is expected to commence operation soon.

Established in 1989, Sinopec (Hong Kong) Petroleum Holding Company Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec and its business operation covers gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene, fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas, etc. What’s more, Sinopec (Hong Kong) boasts relatively perfect operating network of petroleum products as it possesses oil depot, fleet and oil (gas) station that could help it realize oil-related warehousing, distribution and terminal sales.

As of the end of November 2018, Sinopec (Hong Kong) commanded 50 oil (gas) stations (2 in Singapore included), 11 freedom ships and 3 oil depots.
