Recently, the cyclohexanone project of Shoushan Chemical Company, previously known as Henan Shoushan Coking Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Pingmei Shenma Group, kicked off.
   With Shoushan’s spin-off of benzene and hydrogen as raw materials, the project adopts the hexene-based technology and the steam from the company's dry quenching device will be the heat source. It is jointly invested and constructed by Shoushan Chemical Company and Shenma Industrial Co., Ltd. with a gross investment of RMB2.6 billion. It mainly includes cyclohexanol unit, cyclohexanol dehydrogenation to cyclohexanone unit and related facilities. In addition, the project is scheduled to be completed within 16 months and to commence operation in the first quarter of 2020. Since completion, the project will boast capacities of 200 000 t/a cyclohexanone and 34 000 t/a by-product cyclohexane, with annual output value to reach around RMB2.8 billion.
