Asahi Kasei to Fund a Plastics Coloring & Modification Project in Changshu


Asahi Kasei (China) Investment Co., Ltd. and Changshu New Materials Industrial Park held a contract signing ceremony to establish Asahi Kasei Plastics (Changshu) Co., Ltd. Asahi Kasei (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asahi Kasei Corporation in China, is mainly responsible for investments in plastic, fiber, chemical products, electronic materials, pharmaceutical products, medical equipment and related businesses. Located in Changshu New Materials Industrial Park, Asahi Kasei Plastics (Changshu) Co., Ltd. will have a total investment of US$44 million and registered capital of US$22 million. It is designed to be a new plastics coloring and modification plant, and its products will be used mainly in the auto, photovoltaic, wind power and office supplies industries.
