Zhejiang Now Imports the Most Methanol

This year’s methanol imports arriving at Ningbo port had amounted to 445 000 tons by March 25. Data show that methanol imports at Ningbo port have maintained growth for three years, jumping 145% in 2016. Over the past three years, China's imports of methanol grew year by year, reaching 8.803 million tons in 2016, an increase of 59% over 2015. Methanol imported via Ningbo Port amounted to 2.186 million tons in 2016, accounting for 1/4 of the country’s total. Methanol import through all ports of Zhejiang province totaled 3.8378 million tons in 2016.
