Coal Tar Hydrogenation Project Kicks off in Shanxi

On March 22, Shanxi Xiaoyi Pengfei Industrial Group broke ground on the project regarding megaton coal tar hydrogenation in super slurry-bed.  
With a total investment of RMB 5.5 billion, the project covers 191 000 t/a clean light fuel oil, 138 000 t/a clean heavy fuel oil, 122 000 t/a diesel fuel and 13 000 t/a BTX aromatics etc.
Upon completion, Pengfei will achieve complete cycle of fine chemical chain from coal mining, production of cleaned coal and coke-smelting.
