Coal Tar Hydrogenation Project Kicks off in Henan

On December 30, 2016, a groundbreaking ceremony for the 1.5 million t/a coal tar /coal pitch comprehensive utilization project was held in Hebi City, Henan province.
The project uses core technology of Beijing Sanju Environmental Protection New Materials Co., Ltd. and New Material and Beijing Huashi United Energy Technology and Development Co., Ltd., while construction is undertaken by Hebi Sitong Lvneng Petrochemical Technology Co., Ltd.
It covers an area of 80 hectares and owns 10 sets of devices including pretreatment, coal tar suspension bed hydrogenation, mixed aromatics, synthesis of lubricant and catalytic coal for gas, etc. With a total investment of RMB7.2 billion, the project is expected to be completed by 2019.
