China Baoan to Increase Investment in Lithium Batteries

On December 23, 2016, China Baoan Group Co., Ltd. (SZ: 000009) announced that its holding subsidiary BTR would invest RMB5.2 billion in high-performance lithium ion battery project.
BTR plans to start construction on the proposed project in 2017, which includes high performance anode material and high performance cathode material units. Upon completion of construction, BTR will have the capacity of 150 000 t/a high-performance anode material to meet its demand for high- performance lithium ion battery in the future.
China Baoan focuses on investment of high-tech, biomedical and real estate industries.
