East Section of the Third West-East Gas Pipeline Completed

On December 12, 2016 China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) announced natural gas from the Central Asia and Tarim gas area has been transmitted to Fuzhou, Fujian province, representing that construction of the East Section of the Third West-East Gas Pipeline has been completed and it has begun to be debugging.
The Third West-East Gas Pipeline Line is an additional energy strategic channel acrossing China from the West to the East after operation of the Second West-East Gas Pipeline Line. The Third Line is from Ji’an interface station (Jiangxi) of the Second Line to Fuzhou terminal station, Fujian province, with a total length of 832.4 km. The Third West-East Gas Pipeline Line has capability of transmitting 15 billion m3 of gas, with a designed pressure of 10 MPa.
