On February 23, 2017, DOW announced that The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) is set to showcase a strong array of new products and innovations at the Personal Care and Home Care Ingredients trade show - PCHi 2017 - from 21 to 23 February 2017 (booth: 4G37).
This is the first time that Dow displays a combined portfolio of key products and solutions since becoming 100 percent owner of Dow Corning’s silicones business. Dow has complemented its cutting-edge technologies and products with Dow Corning’s world-leading silicone solutions to deliver a comprehensive range of solutions backed by expanded R&D capabilities, increased global reach, and stronger brand power.

The combined team will launch two new programs and three new products at PCHi 2017:
LabSense (TM), a collaboration model featuring a network of personal care experts, capabilities and technologies that accelerate innovation for brand owners around the world. Through collaboration via LabSense (TM)with the Dow team, brand owners can gain access to premium ingredients, market-leading intelligence, and scientific expertise to help them develop innovative products and bring them to market faster.
CITYCARE, innovative silicone film-forming technology to help protect skin from pollutants, is designed to address particulate air pollution with a nature-inspired approach. Silicone has the potential to form a nonintrusive, flexible and aesthetically pleasing film on the skin’s surface and this film can be designed to shield the skin from environmental stressors.
Dow Corning (R) FA 4103 DM Silicone Acrylate Emulsion is the first waterborne silicone film-forming solution that offers longer-lasting color cosmetics and wash off resistant sun protection formulations, while making them more comfortable to wear.
Dow Corning (R) 9576 Smooth Away Elastomer is a solution that enables a flawless look for high-definition selfie satisfaction – giving consumers the filter-like look they seek through skin care and color cosmetic products. The product has an optimized soft focus-enabling composition in a unique silicone elastomer form, which delivers formulations with the pleasant feel and unique textures that consumers desire.
Dow Corning (R) 3901 Liquid Satin Blend is being unveiled in the hair care leave-on applications category. Whether prestige or masstige, Dow Corning (R) 3901 Liquid Satin Blend helps consumers to differentiate their leave-in formulations, and delivers luxurious smoothness, playful textures in formulation, and beauty-enhancing benefits like stylability and shine.
In addition, Dow Microbial Control (DMC) is introducing a new product in the exhibition:
“NEOLONE (TM) PHCG Preservative is a broad-spectrum preservative for personal care products that can be used in leave-on and rinse-off applications. The new product is a formulated preservative, which effectively kills and inhibits the bacteria, mold and yeast often found in personal care products.
