Biomass Continuous Spinning Filament Project Started up


On November 7, Jilin Chemical Fibre Stock Co., Ltd. started up a biodegradable biomass continuous spinning filament project successfully, with a capacity of 10 000 t/a. This represents another innovation and expansion project after the company put into operation on the 5 000 t/a bamboo fiber filament project and the 10 000 t/a artificial silk fine denier project.
Construction on the project started on June 15, 2016, with an area of 33 000 m2 and total investment of RMB450 million. Seventy-five spinning machines and other supplied equipment are installed, aiming at biomass continuous spinning filament’s capacity of 10 000 t/a.
Jilin Chemical Fibre set a target of artificial silk capacity exceeding 50 000 t/a.
