China Launches Anti-dumping Investigation against Pyridine from India and Japan

On September 21, the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOC) announced to initiate the antidumping investigation on imported pyridine (HS code: 29333100) originated from India and Japan, effective September 21.
   In accordance with the Regulations on Anti-dumping of the People's Republic of China, MOC will investigate into the dumping and dumping margin, and the injury and extent of injury to the domestic pyridine industry, and will make a ruling according to law.
   Pyridine is an important raw material for pesticide and pharmaceutical and it is also widely used in the daily chemicals, feed and food additives fields. The domestic leading pyridine producers include Red Sun Group Limited (SZ: 000525, with capacity of 37 000 t/a in Nanjing, Jiangsu province and Ma'anshan, Anhui province); Weifang Luba Chemical Co., Ltd. (10 000 t/a in Weifang, Shandong province) and Nantong Ruili Chemical Co., Ltd. (25 000 t/a in Nantong, Shandong province). (CCR2012 No. 18 and 6)
   The dumping investigation duration of the case is set from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012 while the injury investigation is set during January 1, 2008 to June 30, 2012.
