Hanbon Put on Stream PTA Plant     

Hanbon (Jiangyin) Petrochemical Ltd started up its 600 000 t/a purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant in Jiangyin, Jiangsu province on December 10th. The company is jointly built by Jiangyin Chengxing Industry Group (85%) and Hong Kong Hanbon Petrochemical Company.
    Construction was started in November 2007 with an investment of RMB2.7 billion. INVISTA technologies and imported key equipments are used in the plant. Reportedly, although the design capacity of the plant is 600 000 t/a, it can actually produce 750 000 tons of PTA per year.
