Henan Coal Chem Launches POM Project    

Henan Coal Chemical Group Company Ltd started construction of the phase two 60 000 t/a polyoxymethylene (POM) project in Kaifeng, Henan province with a ceremony on November 23rd and announced startup of the first phase 40 000 t/a POM plant. Construction on the first phase was started in January and completed on September 26th, with a cost of RMB1.6 billion. The company planned to spend RMB2.1 billion in constructing the phase two. POM plant is operated by Henan Coal Chemical Group's subsidiary Kaifeng Longyu Chemical Company Limited.
