Shanxi Tianji Launches Two Projects    

China's leading nitro-based compound fertilizer maker Shanxi Tianji Coal Chemical Group held a groundbreaking ceremony on November 25th to start constructing a 250 000 t/a calcium ammonium nitrate unit, a 130 000 t/a aniline unit and attached waste water treatment plant at its existing production site in Lucheng, Shanxi province. The group plans to spend RMB670 million in the construction and complete it in 2012. Upon completion, these two units are expected to bring about RMB1.6 billion of sales revenue per year.
   Shanxi Tianji now is capable of producing 1 million tons of nitro-based compound fertilizers and 810 000 tons of nitric acid per year. On the support of nitric acid and hydrogen supplying capacity, the group aims to extend its production chain to the booming business sector - nitric acid to aniline to methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI).
