Asymchem to Construct Production Plant in Tianjin    

On February 26th, 2010 Asymchem Laboratories, Inc., China's leading globally outsourcing company in the drug making and discovery sector, signed an investment agreement with the managing committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) to construct a new research and production project of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and formulations at TEDA, with a total investment of RMB240 million. The new project will occupy more than 40 thousand square meters of land, and be constructed in two phases. Asymchem expected the new project will bring about RMB1 billion sales after full operation.     
   Since its launch in TEDA in 1998, Asymchem has set up two sub-companies there to produce high potency APIs and their formulations (in May 2009), and small molecular APIs and their formulations, respectively.
