Wengfu Accelerates Construction of Dazhou Base    

In the Wengfu Dazhou Phosphorus and Sulfur Chemical Base, Wengfu Group, China's leading phosphorus chemical company, will spend RMB2 billion in constructing eight projects this year.
   On March 2nd, Wengfu Group awarded the EPC contract of 600 000 t/a diammonia phosphate/monoammonium phosphate (DAP/MAP) to East China Engineering Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (SZ: 002140).
   On March 4th, Wengfu signed an agreement on construction of its 800 000 t/a phosphorus gypsum comprehensive utilization project with Sichuan Lisen Group, a leading cement producer with a capacity close to 10 million t/a. The two company will set up a joint venture to treat 800 000 tons of phosphorus gypsum per year in Dazhou Natural Gas Energy and Chemical Zone, with a total investment of RMB100 million.
   In April Wengfu will start constructing eight facilities in Dazhou Base, including 1.2 million phosphorus ore mining facility, 800 000 t/a sulfur to sulfuric acid unit, 600 000 t/a DAP/MAP units, 150 000 t/a purified phosphorus acid unit, 10 000 t/a anhydrous hydrogen fluoride facility, 50 t/a iodine facility and 800 000 t/a phosphorus gypsum comprehensive utilization facility.
   The manager of Wengfu also disclosed that it will complete construction on the 12 million t/a phosphate project in Saudi Arabia this May.
