Tianye Inaugurates Caustic Soda Unit     

Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co Ltd (SH: 600075) announced on November 5th the inauguration of a particle caustic soda unit at Shihezi North Industrial Zone of Xinjiang region. This unit has a capacity of 150 000 t/a, bringing the company's total capacity of particle caustic soda to 450 000 t/a. It is the first one of the two 150 000 t/a caustic soda units designed to match the phase two 400 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride unit that started up in earlier October. (CCR2010 No.20)  Tianye spent RMB157 million in the construction.
   Based on the existing 300 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride plant, Tianye has launched an ambitious plan to construct three 400 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride units and their attached caustic soda units in three phases.
