Sinopec Constructs SM Project    

Sinopec Corp. started construction on a 27 000 t/a styrene monomer (SM) unit at Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company's site in Beijing on October 10th. This unit will extract styrene from C8 fraction. It is China's first unit of its kind. Construction will be completed in Mid-2011. The technology is developed jointly by Sinopec Corp and GTC Technology, Inc of USA.
