Sinopec Expands Refining Capacity to 10 Million T/A in Luoyang    

Sinopec Corp (SH: 600028, HK: 0386) expands its Luoyang refinery to 10 million t/a with the official operation of the 2.6 million t/a diesel hydrogenation unit on October 19th.
   Sinopec Luoyang has been boosted its refining capacity in recent years. The company had refining capacity of 6 million t/a in 2006, and increased it to 8 million t/a in 2008.
   Construction on the latest expanding project was started in June 2009. With the startup of the diesel hydrogenation unit, Sinopec Luoyang has capability of producing the National III standard diesel to meet the growing demand for high quality diesel in Henan province.
   Sinopec Luoyang produces more than 60 varieties of products including gasoline, diesel, light kerosene, propylene, polypropylene, BOPP film, benzene, toluene, PX, PTA and polyester chips etc.
