Huatai Inaugurates Production of ClO2    

Rizhao Huatai Paper Co Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Huatai Group, recently inaugurated production of an 8 tons per day chlorine dioxide line in Rizhao, Shandong province. This line is designed to match a 100 000 t/a paper pulp unit.
   The company spent RMB20 million to construct this line whose all equipments are made by Chinese companies, saving two third comparing with the imported equipments, the company manager said. Shandong Shanda Wit Science and Technology Co Ltd is the construction contractor.
   Shandong Huatai Interox Chemical Co Ltd, Huatai Group's another joint venture with Belgium firm Solvay, recently started construction of a 180 000 t/a hydrogen peroxide (27.5%) project in Dongying, Shandong province.
