CNSG Launched Chlor-Alkali Project    

CNSG Anhui Hong Sifang Co Ltd announced that the construction schedule for its chlor-alkali project has passed the assessment organized by its director board and majority shareholder - China National Salt Industry Corporation (CNSG) on July 5th, representing that the project was formally launched in Hefei, Anhui province.
   The project, which was approved by the Hefei authorities in January 2009, includes a 150 000 t/a caustic soda unit, a 100 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride paste resin unit and a 100 000 t/a sodium hydrosulfite unit. It is scheduled that construction will be started in February 2011 and the wet commissioning will be conducted in June 2012.
   On June 21st, CNSG nodded the primary designing program for Anhui Hong Sifang Co Ltd's 280 000 t/a synthetic ammonia and derivatives project that is also planned for wet commissioning in June 2012.
   This CNSG subsidiary has a workforce of around 5 000. It is constructing the chemical zone at the Hefei Recycle Economic Demonstrative Park with a total investment of RMB11.4 billion.
