New Entry Conditions for Magnesium Industry    

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) issued on April 23rd a draft of entry conditions for the magnesium industry to collect responses and suggestions. As regulating in the draft, the existing magnesium metallurgy companies must have a production capacity of no less than 15 000 t/a, the renovation and expansion projects shall have a target capacity of no less than 20 000 t/a and the new comers are not allowed to construct magnesium or magnesium alloy projects with a production capacity of less than 50 000 t/a. MIIT also proposed the site selection conditions for new or expanding projects.
