Yili Energy Starts up Calcium Carbide Project   

The Da Late branch of Inner Mongolia Yili Energy Company Limited (Yili Energy, SH: 600277) announced to start commercial production of 400 000 t/a calcium carbide project on March 1st, 2010.
   Construction on the project was started on April 22nd, 2009, contracted by DHI * DCW Group Co., Ltd.
   The project is aimed to supply raw materials to Yili Energy's 400 000 t/a PVC production unit that came on stream in April 2008.
