WACKER Starts up Nanjing Plant    

WACKER began supplying vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) copolymer dispersions from its plant in Nanjing, Jiangsu province on July 1st. This site offers VAE copolymer dispersions and dispersible polymer powders for the construction, coatings, adhesives and other industries. WACKER is thus strengthening its position as a supplier of high-quality binders and polymer additives in China.  
   Located in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, the site produces VAE copolymer dispersions with a current capacity of about 50 000 t/a, depending on product mix. In addition, the Nanjing site offers an annual capacity of 30 000 tons of dispersible powder. It is the largest plant of its kind in China. WACKER has a staff of some 100 employees at its Nanjing facility.
