Shaanxi Launches DMC Project   

Construction on the first phase 50 000 t/a dimethyl carbonate (DMC) project was started on April 10th in Jinjitan town, Yulin of Shaanxi province. The project using methanol and carbon dioxide as raw materials hosted by Yulin Yunhua Green Energy Company Ltd, is the first phase of the planned 200 000 t/a DMC project. It is designed to consume 140 000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, saving 89 thousand tons of coal and reducing carbon dioxide emission by 369 thousand tons.
