5 Mt/a Refining Expansion Project in Ningxia Is in Installation    

On June 28th, PetroChina Ningxia Refining and Chemicals Co., Ltd.'s 5 million t/a refining expansion project entered the stage of installation.
   The approximately RMB7 billion project is scheduled to be operational in 2011. PetroChina Ningxia Refining and Chemicals Co., Ltd. will add ten production lines including a 5 million t/a atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit, a 2.6 million t/a catalytic cracking unit, a 600 000 t/a continuous catalytic reforming unit, a 150 000 t/a aromatics extraction unit, a 100 000 t/a polypropylene unit etc, and auxiliary utilities.
   Upon completion of the refining expansion project, PetroChina Ningxia Refining and Chemicals will have ability of offering 1.67 million tons of gasoline and 2.29 million tons of diesel per year to meet the Ningxia and the surrounding markets.
   Construction on the integrated refining and petrochemical complex was started on September 21st, 2009. (CCR2010 No. 3)
