Unid to Expand KOH Production in China    

Korean leading potassium-based chemicals maker Unid Co Ltd was recently reported to expand the production capacity in its factory at Zhenjiang of Jiangsu province, named Unid Jiangsu Chemical Co Ltd. The factory's production capacity of potassium hydroxide will be expanded to 160 000 t/a from the current 90 000 t/a, of which, the solid potassium hydroxide capacity will be increased from current 60 000 t/a to 100 000 t/a. The US$20 million expansion will be completed in the first quarter of 2011. At the end of 2003 Unid constructed the production lines in China.
