Jinan Yuxing Starts up 100 000 t/a Titanium Dioxide Project     

On June 20th Jinan Yuxing Chemical Company Limited of China National Bluestar (Group) Co Ltd inaugurated production of 100 000 t/a rutile titanium dioxide project, the second phasr of the 200 000 t/a project, at its new site in Jinan Chemical Industry Park, Jinan of Shandong province, which also stated that the 100-year old factory at last left its old site in downtown of Jinan, the capital of Shandong.
   In order to improve environment in line with the requirements of the Jinan government, this company started relocation from 2008. It spent RMB1.7 billion to construct the first phase project including a 100 000 t/a rutile titanium dioxide production line, a 300 000 t/a sulfur to sulfuric acid unit and other attached facilities.
   Now the company is capable of producing 200 000 tons of titanium dioxide per year.
