GCL-Poly Began Commercial Production of Wafer Facilities in Changzhou    

GCL-Poly Energy Holdings Limited (GCL-Poly, HK: 3800) announced May 30th that the Changzhou wafer facilities with annual production capacity of 300 MW began commercial production of 8-inch multi wafer on May 27th, 2010.
    Changzhou wafer facilities are the company's second in-house wafer production facility after Xuzhou in Jiangsu province, with an annual multi wafer production capacity of 300 MW for Phase I.
   Construction of Changzhou wafer facilities began in the end of March 2010. The facility is expected to become fully ramped up by the end of June 2010.
   In addition, GCL-Poly's wholly-owned subsidiary GCL (Nanjing) Solar Energy Technology Company Limited has signed a long-term silicon wafer supply contract with DelSolar Co., Ltd., a leading solar cell and module provider in Taiwan province, to establish a long-term strategic alliance.
   According to the Contract, GCL-Poly will provide local supplies of wafers to meet the needs of DelSolar's Wujiang Plant's expansion from May 2010 to December 2013.
