Pesticide Residue Limits

"The maximum residue limits of 12 categories of pesticides including chlorothalonil in food" (GB25193-2010), worked out by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, was ratified by the Evaluating Committee for National Food Safety Standard recently and was announced to become a national standard for food safety on July 29th, 2010.
The new standards, to be effective November 1st, 2010, set 16 maximum residue limits for 12 pesticides including chlorothalonil, carbosulfan and chlorpyrifos in such agricultural products as apple, tomato and wheat.
The implementation of the standards will help promote the standardized production of agricultural products and the right use of pesticides, and improve the quality and safety of agricultural products.
