Projects News from WengFu Group    

On August 30th Wengfu Zijin Chemical Co Ltd held a groundbreaking ceremony for its 100 000 t/a purified phosphoric acid and 200 000 t/a ammonium phosphates project at Jiaoyang Industrial Zone, Shanghang county, Fujian province. The company is a joint venture between China's leading phosphorus chemical company Wengfu Group (52%), Zijin Copper Co Ltd and Guizhou Shanshui Logistics Co Ltd. Startup is planned for December 2011. Sulfuric acid needed in this plant will be supplied by a nearby 800 000 t/a sulfuric acid unit that attaches to a 200 000 t/a copper metallurgy plant.
   On August 25th, at Wengfu Group's Dazhou Base in Sichuan (CCR2010 No.7), Sichuan Lizhi Chemical Co Ltd started construction of a fluorine recovery project that is attaching to Wengfu Group's 600 000 t/a diammonia phosphate/monoammonium phosphate (DAP/MAP) plant. The project includes a 10 000 t/a aluminum fluoride unit, a 6 000 t/a cryolite unit and a 20 000 t/a 4A zeolite unit, with an investment of RMB50 million. The company expected to put it on stream in the first quarter of 2011 and create 200 jobs.
   Wengfu Group reported that construction on its second iodine recovery unit has been completed on September 6th. This 50 t/a unit will come on stream in October, bringing Wengfu's iodine capacity to 100 t/a.
