Lianyi Chemical to Start up Caustic Soda Project    

Guangxi Wuzhou Lianyi Chemical Co Ltd (Lianyi) has completed construction on its phase one 75 000 t/a caustic soda project and started wet commissioning on August 20th.When the unit can run normally, the company will start to construct phase two, also a 75 000 t/a caustic soda unit.
   The company was acquired by Nanning Chemical Industry Co Ltd (SH: 600301) - a medium sized chlor-alkali company in 2006. The parent company operates units of 260 000 t/a caustic soda, 140 000 t/a polyvinyl chloride, 120 000 t/a hydrochloric acid, 100 000 t/a liquid chlorine and 15 000 t/a trichloroisocyanuric acid.
