PetroChina 10 MT/A Refinery in Guangxi Came on Stream    

On September 8th, PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Co., Ltd. put its 10 million t/a refinery into operation in Qinzhou, Guangxi region.
   The integrated complex has ten key production units, like a 10 million t/a atmospheric-vacuum distillation unit, a 3.5 million t/a heavy oil catalytic cracking unit, a 2.2 million t/a continuous catalytic reforming unit and a 2.2 million t/a wax oil hydrocracking unit, and relevant public utilities such as oil-tank farm, dock and railway special line.
   With the startup of the complex, PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical has ability of producing 8.3 million tons of fuels like gasoline, diesel, aviation kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas per year, and 900 000 tons of petrochemicals such as polypropylene, aromatic hydrocarbon, benzene, methylbenzene and mixed xylene every year, to meet needs in the southwestern China market.
   Construction of the integrated complex was started in November 2007, with a total investment of RMB15.1 billion.
