Yinguang Chemical Starts up 100 000 T/A TDI Project      

On December 31st, Gansu Yinguang Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Yinguang Chemical), a subsidiary of China North Industries Group Corporation (CNIGC), announced that its third phase of 100 000 t/a TDI (toluene diisocyanate) expansion project has been put into operation in mid December 2009.  
   Yinguang Chemical completed construction on the second phase project in 2006 and expanded the capacity of its initial 20 000 t/a TDI production line that was imported from abroad in 1980s to 50 000 t/a. It further expanded it to 100 000 t/a this time.
   Adding the 50 000 t/a TDI project that started up in August 2009 in Liaoning North Jinhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd., another subsidiary of CNIGC, CNIGC's total capacity of TDI has reached 150 000 t/a.
