Jizhong Energy Group Mulls Salt Chemical Base    

The Hebei provincial government recently approved Jizhong Energy Group Co., Ltd. to develop the salt mine reserve in Ningjin county, Xingtai, Hebei province to build an important salt chemical base in China.
   It was predicted that the recently proved salt mine has a salt reserve of more than 100 billion tons, with an excellent quality. Once proved, many companies are eager to get its development certification. Finally, the provincial government licensed the stated owned Jizhong Energy Group to develop the mine. The Ningjin county government will partner with the group to develop salt related chemicals business.  
   A salt chemical recycle economic park will be built to home several production chains such as chlor-alkali, soda ash family and fine chemicals. The group reported a primary plan to spend RMB1.5 billion to construct a vacuum salt elaboration project, RMB3.8 billion for a 3 million t/a soda ash project, RMB3.6 billion for a 1 million t/a caustic soda project and RMB2 billion for a 200 000 t/a silicone project.
