Xingfa Launches Silicon Project    

Yichang Xingfa Group Company Limited began to construct a 40 000 t/a industrial silicon project in Xingshan county of Hubei province, central China on December 6th. This project is planned to supply materials to the company's 180 000 t/a silicone project that has been constructed since February 15th, 2009. (CCR 2009, No.9)
   Xingshan county is abundant in silicon mineral to supply raw material to the silicon project and has sufficient hydraulic power to fuel the project too. The expenditure is estimated to be RMB370 million.
   Yichang Xingfa is China's leading phosphorus chemicals company. The group reported a sale revenue of RMB4.9 billion in the first eleven months of 2009. It holds 20.75% in Hubei Xingfa Chemicals Group Company Limited (SH: 600141).
