Yibin Grace Starts up Sulfuric Acid Unit    

Located in Yibin, Sichuan province of southwestern China, Yibin Grace Group Company announces it has started to operate the new 200 000 t/a sulfur based sulfuric acid unit since December 3rd, 2009 and manufactured sulfuric acid on December 17th. On March 15th, 2009 the company held a ceremony for launching construction on this project.
   The company reported that the unit will add RMB120 million of revenue per year for it and also ensure its own sulfuric acid demand. The construction expenditure is RMB62 million.
   Yibin Grace Group engages in the manufacture of viscose fiber, embroidery thread, cotton pulp, paper-making, heating and energy. The group consumes 70 000 tons of sulfuric acid per year. It purchased sulfuric acid distantly, spending more than RMB7 million of freight.
