LPG-based Petrochemical Plant in Hainan     

Reportedly, China's CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation) and Qatar Petroleum International intend to build a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) based petrochemical plant in Hainan province partnering with the third side.
   The proposed plant would have capability of producing olefins using LPG as feedstock, with an initial capacity of 2.6 million t/a.  
   CCR's reporter phoned Mr. Li Shiqiang, public relations executive of CNOOC. He said he is not aware of plan about the Hainan petrochemical joint complex and hopes to see it further.
