CNSIC Launches Hefei Chemical Base Phase II     

China National Salt Industry Corporation (CNSIC) held a ceremony to start construction of the second phase of its Hefei Chemical Base at Hefei Recycling Economy Demonstration Zone in Hefei, Anhui province on November 4th. Earlier this year, CNSIC had announced a plan to start the construction in 2012.
   The base will be constructed in two phases. The company has already broken ground for the first phase in August 2009, with an initial planned investment of RMB6.1 billion. (CCR2009 No.25) But now, CNSIC changed the figure to RMB4.6 billion for the first phase and increased investment for the whole project from RMB10.0 billion to RMB11.4 billion. The company undisclosed reasons for these changes.
